Route information

Start your summer off with a slice of the good life in the Pizza Run held in Newcastle. Runners will conquer a 10K, 5K, or Family Mile at their own personal pace, and celebrate with some warm slices, leaving the whole family with cheesy smiles.

The route will be a looped course, with the 5K being 1 lap, and the 10K runners completing 2 laps.

After the run, head to the Pizza Station with your wristband to collect your wares, and bask in the sun or cut shapes on the dance floor with music from the resident Pizza Run DJ.

Schedule:

09:00: Race Village and Registration Opens

10:20: Disco Warmup

10:30: 10K Starts, followed by the 5K shortly after, and the Family Mile will begin just after the 5K.

An email with everything you need to know will be sent you 3-5 days before the event. Please remember to bring your ticket with you (hard or e-copy), as this will be required to gain entry to the event and receive your race materials.

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before race time to ensure plenty of time for parking, registration and attending the Disco Warmup.

Who can participate in the Pizza Run?

The Pizza Run is open to participants of all ages and abilities. Those under 16 must be accompanied at the event by an adult and those under 9 must run with a paying adult guardian. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to take the course at their own pace and have fun.

Does the Pizza Run cater for food allergies?

Unfortunately, all of the pizzas contain gluten and cheese, so are not suitable for food allergies. Pizza Run are working on fixing this in the future.

Do I have to eat the pizza at the Pizza Run?

No, eating pizza is a totally optional part of the run.

Will there be a bag drop at the Pizza Run?

There will be a bag drop area to put your items, however, it is not guaranteed that these items will be secure.
