About
The Plym Trail is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within the National Park of Dartmoor. The stunning views of the forests and valleys are breathtaking and you are likely to see Peregrin Falcons in the summer as well as an abundance of incredible flora and fauna. Formerly an historic railway, this area is now enjoyed throughout the year by runners, walkers, cyclists and horse riders. You will also see the wild ponies and sheep that permanently reside on the Moors as well as the smaller rodents and fowl that thrive in this wonderful community. We would like to welcome you to enjoy running our second firstandlastrunning event, Devon and Cornwall's best newest secret !

Did the race in 2018
The course is an out and back route along the beautiful Plym Valley Trail, surrounded by trees and woodland. There are drink/snack stations at about 3 miles and at the halfway point, then again at the 10 mile point (10miles is the same location as the 3 mile point due to the out and back route). There are also drinks and snacks at the finish line. The organisation is super and the medals from each race in the series join together by interlocking. All finishers also receive a goody bag with post race snacks and water.Davey who organises the race is very personable and an experienced runner himself.Although the course can feel a bit monotonous, it is a beautiful route and there is a great community atmosphere created by the race directors and runners.
