Race in the Poppy Half Marathon to pay your respects to the men and women who lost their lives in war. From the kids race to the half marathon, these events along the Bexhill foreshore are perfect for all runners. Come for the bespoke finisher's medal and to support soldiers and veterans.

500m kids fun run - no registration needed, just turn up on the day. All kids receive a finisher's medal in both kids races.

08:45 Registration Opens

09:30 5km Start

10:30 10km Start

11:45-12:00 Kids 1 Mile Youth Run and 500m Fun Run Start

12:10 Memorial service, National Anthem, Last Post, and 2 minute silence

12:30 Poppy Half Marathon Start (immediately after the memorial service)

Cut Off Times

5k: 1 hour

10k: 1hr 30 mins

Half Marathon: 3hr 30 mins

Water Stations

There will be water stations at the 5km, 8km, 13km, and 16km marks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be toilets at the Poppy Half Marathon?
Yes, there are toilets inside De La Warr Pavillion and also porta-loo toilets around the race start.
How do I wear the chip-timer?
The timer should be securely fastened around your ankle or onto your shoe. It will not be picked up if you are holding it or you secure it around your hand/arm.
Is there an age requirement to participate in any of the races?
Yes, participants must be 17 years and above for the Half Marathon, 15 years and above for the 10k, and 13 years and above for the 5k.
