Route information
The course starts and finishes next to the Regatta Lake and follows the path around for about 2km before entering the woodland and meadow areas around the venue. The course is a mix of terrain with some path, grass and woodland trails, a fairly flat course but there are some inclines and naturally boggy areas.
All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. At the majority of venues, there will be a shortcut available at approximately 2km or 3km, which will lead back to the finish line. This will signposted on the day. If the shortcut is taken, it may mean missing out some of the obstacles, but we will make sure all children get to take part in the muddy slide at the end.
Obstacle layout and shortcut distances will vary from venue to venue. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.

Get full directionsPlease follow the brown signs for the venue 'National Water Sports Centre'. There is car parking at the venue and stewards will be in place to direct you to specific car parks. Please allow time to walk to the start line as this is about 15-20 minutes from the car parking areas around the regatta lake to the start area.
There is a car parking charge for the event payable per car, please make sure you have change available to hand to the stewards on entry. Parking will be charged at £3 per car (The car park fee is subject to change).
