Swim Course
Sprint 750m (0.47mi) - Olympic 1500m (0.93mi)
This counter-clockwise rectangular course starts and finishes at the south boat ramp of Boulder Beach. Kayaks, sea doos, boats, and lifeguards will be in the water to support all athletes. If you need a rest while in the water, waive your arms or simply swim to the nearest kayak. You can hold on to any vessel without penalty as long as there is no forward propulsion. If you need to cut your swim short for any reason, let the water support team member know, and they will bring you in to shore.
Aquabike Athletes: Complete the Olympic swim and Olympic bike. After finishing the bike, continue under the Run Start arch. Run for 0.1mi to the finish line to complete your race.
Bike Course
Sprint 12.4mi - Olympic 24.8mi
This course is OPEN TO TRAFFIC. Please follow all staff, marshal and law enforcement directions.
Sprint athletes will exit transition and make a right-hand turn on Lakeshore Dr. After about 2 miles, Sprint athletes will turn around at the designated spot on Lakeshore (mile marker 2.51 mi), then return the way they came, but continuing about 2.5 miles PAST BOULDER BEACH, athletes will make a left turn onto the Historic Railroad Trailhead, follow the Marshal directions onto the sidewalk and turn right onto the River Mountain Loop Trail. A steady 4.3% climb for a little over 5.6 miles will lead you to a left hand turn onto Nevada Wy, then a 6% climb for about a mile and ahhhh… you reach the home stretch and a brief chance to coast. The left hand turn into transition is sharp and on a down hill. Please watch your speed to avoid injury. Sprint athletes will benefit from one aid station at about mile 6.4.
Olympic athletes will exit transition and make a right-hand turn on Lakeshore Dr. After about 8.2 miles, Olympic athletes will turn around at the designated spot on Lakeshore (mile marker 8.74 mi), then return the way they came, but continuing about 2.5 miles past Boulder Beach, athletes will make a left turn onto the Historic Railroad Trailhead, follow the Marshal directions onto the sidewalk and turn right onto the River Mountain Loop Trail. A steady 4.3% climb for a little over 5.6 miles will lead you to a left hand turn onto Nevada Wy, then a 6% climb for about a mile and ahhhh… you reach the home stretch and a brief chance to coast. The left hand turn into transition is sharp and on a down-hill. Please watch your speed to avoid injury. Olympic athletes will benefit from one aid station at or near mile 19.

A short distance more before a right on Adams then about 1/4 of a mile to the turnaround, where you will pass that same aid station and return the way you came to finish strong!

Kit List
Plan on using your own gear bag for Transition Area 1. Remember, you only have 2.5' allotted to you in each transition area. Please be courteous of the size of bag you bring. Unnecessarily large bags will be penalized.
Attach your tag securely to your swim bag. The tag is located on your run bib.
Securely pack all your swim gear (including your wetsuit) into your bag before heading on the bike. This bag is meant for swim gear only! Keep valuables in your car.
Do not hand-off your swim gear to a spectator to packet and take with them to the finish area, as this would be considered outside assistance and could result in a USAT penalty or disqualification.
All swim bags will be transported to Wilbur Square bag pick-up area by 9:30am. Loose gear that was not packed into a bag will also be available at bag pick-up.
