Did the race in 2021
Unfortunately it looked like the measured course came up over 1km short this time around. The pre and post event race information was well laid out and very helpful.

The course was great, but was only 9k! Very annoying as had to then keep going once I had crossed!!!

Very disappointing when you expect to run 10km and the race turns out to be closer to 9km! This race has the potential for you to run fast times, but it needs much better organisation. The course was short significantly and should have been picked up beforehand with better co-ordination from the owners for company The Race Organiser. We have subsequently been informed that the usual course marker was not available, but there should be much better back up and the freelancer replacement brought on board much better prepared.

Did the race in 2021
This was the second time I attempted this course. This is a really nice course with varied elevation and quite a few steep turns that caters more to the intermediate runner than a beginner that is attempting a 10k race for the first time. The reason for a rating of 4 stars (Organisation 2 stars) was due to a miscalculation of 10k distance by the organisers that led the course being only 8.9k long. The Race Organiser has offered a discount for the next race in the same course in 2022 but it was a petty this detail of the race was overlooked because overwise I would have given 5 stars. Please note however that other aspects of organisation such as the collection of the bibs, medals, race and afterrace drinks and bag drop where all top notch.
