Route information
New for this year, there will be 2 5k loops heading out in different directions to keep the race exciting! Runners can run the same 5k loop or alternate to create a 10k loop with an aid station at the 5k mark.
An undulating course, the event takes runners along an out-and-back trail through the Essex countryside. The event takes place along the Flitch Way, the site of the original Bishops Strotford to Braintree Branch line, which is a single-track railway open between 1869-1969. Now, it remains an important place for wildlife, ensuring runners can enjoy lovely views at the event.
Runners will complete laps of the course to reach their desired distance:
- 5k - 1 lap
- 10k - 2 laps
- Half Marathon - 4 laps
- Marathon - 8 laps
- 6 Hour Challenge - as many as you can!
What's included

- Goody bag
- Chip timing
- Fully stocked aid stations
- Traffic-free course
