Route information
The ever-popular Raynedeer Run is back for another year, after last year's sold-out event. This festive event has a range of distances - choose from a 5k, 10k, half marathon or marathon, or attempt the 6-hour challenge on offer. Get into your best Christmas spirit and join the crowds who are out to earn their Christmas Turkey!
Beginning at Rayne Station, the out-and-back course takes participants through the beautiful hard-packed trails of the undulating Essex countryside between Braintree and Bishops Stortford, along the Flitch Way. The route is mostly flat and traffic-free.
The course loops are 5.3k in distance, so you will need to do 8 to cover a full marathon distance and 4 for a half marathon.
There will be aid stations at the end of every lap so you won't have to carry all your gear with you. The aid stations will be stocked with flapjacks, fruit, and nuts, as well as water and squash to keep you going.
What's included
