Route information
This lapped course will take runners along the River Wear ensuring beautiful waterfront views all the way around.
Each lap of this timed event will be 3.28 miles, and is fast and flat. There will be an aid station every 3.28 miles to keep you going on your way round and pushing for marathon distances.
This event is open to runners of all abilities and you are welcome to walk round the course if you prefer. It is possible to walk the marathon distance within the 8 hours.
Runners who choose to run more than 4 laps will run extra race pins depending on the distance completed.

11:00 2 minute silence
Age Requirements
You must be aged 12 or over to compete in the standard entry. You'll need to be 18 or over on event day to be involved in the UKA Affiliated event.
2 Minute Silence
There will be a 1-minute silence at 11 am to remember our fallen heroes. These 2 minutes will be deducted from your finish time to give you an accurate finish time.
Aid Station
There will be an aid station at the start line. Therefore you can access the aid station every 3.28 miles. It will be stocked with drinks and snacks to keep you going.
On Site Facilities
The toilets will be in the Durham Amateur Rowing Club and available to use for the entirety of the event. There are also showers should you want to use them. There is a bar in the Rowing Club.

Saturn Running Events Limited is a family run company set up during 2017. Our aim to provide flexible running events, for all abilities and ages and where the runner can choose the distance they want to complete. Most of our events will be themed and will have unique medals for each event.

What type of Medal comes with my Remembrance Day Run entry?
The 2022 medal has sold out. Saturn running still has some medals from our previous Remembrance Day run. Entries from 17th September onwards will be for the previous Remembrance Day medal.
How old do I have to be to participate in the Remembrance Day Run?
This event is open to those aged 12 and over. You will have to be 18 if you want to enter as a UKA affiliated athlete.
Will there be toilets at the Remembrance Day Run?
Yes. You can find the toilets inside the Durham Amateur Rowing Club.
Do I have to run for the entire time of the Remembrance Day Run?
Absolutely not! You can choose to stop at any point, though you must complete at least one 3.28 mile lap to receive a medal.
