The Remembrance Day Run is your chance to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice during conflicts around the world. During our event, we will commemorate the fallen heroes who sacrificed their future for our future. We will have a two minute silence at 11:00am and we will remove the two minutes from your official time.

The event is a 7 hour time challenge event for all runners which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7 hour time limit which starts from the official event start time. It is 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra, we also have a 50km distance available.

Course: The course along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. The course is a mix of well maintained paths, a small grass section and some trail paths. Sections can get muddy in adverse weather.

Medals: As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finisher and you will receive one of our incredible Remembrance medals to honour all the brave soldiers who gave their lives for us.

Goody Bag: Absolutely! You earned the calories after all, so all our finishers get a goody bag. As well as our standard goody bag, with a selection of various goodies to choose from, we also have a fabulous vegan goody bag for our vegan runners.

Distance Pins: We have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement.

Aid Table: We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is an incredible selection of drinks and savoury or sweet snacks such as crisps, cheese, fruit and cookies with vegan options also available.

Special Event: If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 200th, 250th etc., half or full marathon then please let us know. You will receive a special running number with your name on it and the date of the event. Also, if it is your birthday run then again please let us know as we have a fabulous special birthday number for you too.

Toilets & Changing Facilities: Toilets are available at the start / finish area inside the venue HQ.

Final Instructions / Number pick up: Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 4-7 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event.

Other Info: There will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. However, this is not a secure bag and the items cannot be watched at all times so please do not leave anything valuable.

Headphones are allowed.

Our running events are held on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.

Lovely route along the river, flat most of the way. Incredible medals, reflecting the purpose of holding the race on Remembrance Sunday. Everyone very helpful. Might have been useful to have had signs up nearby for other path users to alert them to the run since we knew they had right of way but many people kindly stepped aside once they realised there was an event. Would definitely recommend this one.

Enjoyed the relaxed event atmosphere. Handy bag drop on the start/finish line to access anything you may need instead of carrying it. Amazing medals 👏. Never seen those parts of Durham. I would recommend and do this one again.

Faultless and Friendly where 2 minutes silence was impeccably observed by all - great medals too as always! 

The area that the runners run round to start their next lap was crowded by people how ran shorter distances queuing for their medals. And weren’t moving out of the way for runners. Either move it to another location(off to the side) or have a Marshall maintaining a gap for runners to pass threw. Other than that all was good and the fuel station was well equipped 

No pressure as run rather than a race. Ended up doing 3 laps (half marathon) and I’d never ran more than 10 miles before. People friendly and not shouting move. Lovely scenery and great snacks and huge medal at the end. 

A friendly, laid back event along a lovely course and well organised. What more could you want. 

Half marathon was great. I had a friend doing the 10k and she was lost as the alternative course wasn’t so clearly marked. Perhaps could have a 10k signpost the next time! 

Great event and a lovely course. The only downside was one frustrating gate to navigate, which on lap 7 wasn't welcome, but it's a lovely spot and the atmosphere was nice. People were really encouraging, which was a big help toward the end. 

A really enjoyable race. Supportive atmosphere and a good snack stand at the start of each lap.

First half marathon. Chose to do it through Saturn as there is no pressure and a bonus is the medals are fantastic 👍 took me 56 years to do it 😂

Would have benefitted from better signage. Lots of lost people trying to find registration, trying to find where to turn for a 5/10k, trying to find the finish. Not enough signalling. 

Loved the views and the scenes. Was really fun. 

This was my first Saturn run and the organisation was incredible! Everything was so smooth, the route was very well marked. I don’t think there’s anything you could have done better. I’ll be signing up for more in future!

I loved the atmosphere and the place. I enjoyed it as this was my very first half marathon I have completed. I would love to do this again. The staff were very nice. To improve this I would like to get earlier notifications of the instruction prior for the race.Thanks again for the wonderful experience

Loved my 1st Saturn half marathon. The volunteers were very friendly and helpful.Will be back next year

Absolutely outstanding event the best one iv been to thus far in my running journey will definitely be seeing me again coming for that 50 mile next time!! 

had a fun day but missed the first turn arrow and ended up doing an extra mile before i found the right way more marshals needed  ,very scenic, medal and goodies excellent ,friendly and fun.

Another fantastic event from Saturn, friendly marshals and lots of support from fellow runners. Loved it!
