Route information
The Resolution Trail Run does what it says on the tin! It's here to help you keep your New Year's Resolutions with a trail run through Staunton Country Park.
With stunning tree-lined trails, picturesque views of open countryside, an ornamental lake, and ancient follies, this run has it all.
Runners will be taken along a mix of gravel paths, sturdy trails, and tree-lined single track trails on one of 2 routes, a 15k and 10k.
With no cut-off times or pressure, runners can enjoy the nature and run at whatever pace they'd like.

Entrants must be 12+, if you are under 16 you must be accompanied by a full paying adult.

How do I enter a group?
Use the form found on the event page to add each member of your team to the cart.

Can I run with a group of friends?
Yes! Please car share where possible as parking may be limited at the venue.

What should I wear?
The organisers would recommend trail running clothing and trail running shoes. A rain jacket is also a good idea if we have wet conditions on the day.

Can I get a refund?
No, unfortunately you cannot. The organisers can offer to transfer your ticket to a replacement runner if we are contacted two weeks before the event you have entered, this will incur a £5 charge. Please read our Terms & conditions for further information.

Is there an age limit?
The trail running events are open to ages 12+.

Can I buy a ticket on the day?
Yes, if the event has not sold out. On the day entries are available and are subject to on the day pricing. Please see the event page for more information.

What is included in my entry?
The entry pack (sent in the post approximately 1 week prior to the event) includes your bib number.At the finish everyone gets a medal, running socks, multifunctional headscarf and an eat natural bar.

Will I receive any additional information before the event?
Yes, UK Running Events will send out a pre-event information pack via e-mail 1-2 weeks before the event. This will include confirmation of your entry, direction maps with parking and venue details & your start time.

Are dogs allowed at the event?
Sorry, dogs are not allowed at the events unless it specifically states canicross on the event. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted.

I am pregnant, can I run?
UK Running Events would advise to seek medical advice prior to taking part in a trail run if you are pregnant.

I have lost my pack, can I still participate?
Yes! Please contact the organisers with your entry ID and they can arrange for a replacement pack to be collected on event day.

I have my bib number, do I need to register?
No. If you have your bib number you just need to turn up on the day, warm up and head on out at your start time.

Is water provided on course?
Participants are encouraged to bring their own water and nutrition to the event. Emergency water will be available at the aid stations. Please bring a reusable cup / bottle if you think you may need to use this.

Can I wear a Gopro?
You are able to wear an action camera, yes. It is your own responsibility to keep this safe and undamaged.

When do I get my results?
UK Running Events will send you your result via email once the event has taken place.

Nice off road, but good trails and hilly enough for everyone to enjoy a challenge but not put beginners off. Not too muddy considering the rain the day before, but enough to be fun! Great organisation, buff and socks a bonus and a friendly event. Nice to see so many women and in mature age groups- 31 in our 50-59 age group- too.

Challenging route but stunning nf scenery to keep you motivated all of the way round, clearly marked, great for friends and family to be able to support at points and for a coffee at end

Had a great time! Very well organised and marked out. Friendly staff and fellow participants. Course was quite boggy on a few small sections but couldn’t be helped after exceedingly heavy rainfall the day before! Great event :)

We were promised a bit of everything and I wasn’t disappointed. Very friendly atmosphere, good organisation. A bit of mud but not too much! Will do again!

Great morning. This was my first event where my daughter (3) could come spectate. Great for the family as the venue is superb. Course was muddy and varied as you'd hope for with a trail run. Well organised and communications were spot on. Will definitely be coming back.

Very good event. One criticism- the sharp turn at the finish. People love the drama of a sprint finish and at the end runners are tired so a sharp turn could lead to a slip, trip or fall.
