Route information
Starting at Sheen Gate, runners take on grass terrain along the side roads to reach Richmond Gate. This is the perfect opportunity to catch a panoramic view of London. Runners will run through the stunning Dutchess Wood, past the famous White Lodge, and will then follow the road as it winds down towards Spankers Hill Wood.
Taking the road down towards Robin Hood Gate, you will rejoin the Tamsin Trail and then head off clockwise towards Broomfield Hill where water and runners' food will be available. You'll continue towards Ladderstile Gate, through the woods at Dark Hill, and towards the crossing of the Tamsin Trail at Kingston Gate. Please take care with the traffic here.
Then you'll follow the glorious Tamsin Trail as it meanders along the Queens Road and towards Ham Gate. There will be refreshments available before you cross the large field with Ham Gate Pond on your left. The route then joins the Tamsin Trail at the corner where it backs onto the Golf Club and follows it as it stretches towards Petersham Gate, with some glorious views of the park and scenery to take in.
Petersham Gate is the turning point, with runners looping back and staying on the full Tamsin Trail all the way back to Ham Gate. Then, you will head up the Horse Trail up towards Queens Road and across towards Ham Cross Plantation. The route then goes onto a private road cutting all the way through Richmond Park, treating runners to fabulous scenery. Runners will head back towards the cafe at Lawn Plantation, and once back at the car park, they will turn onto a road that winds back up past the White House Lodge.
The finishing stretch involves a section of private road heading towards the crossroads and up onto the left side of the field, back to the race HQ at Sheen Gate.
