There was a great atmosphere, with everyone helping each other to keep spirits high. The energy gels and water was great too and to a much higher standard than a lot of the much larger half marathons I’ve taken part in!

The pre-race day emails and information was superb – but the event was expensive for quite a small running village. It would have been great to have a proper bag drop, rather than just a tarpaulin under a small marquee – it was torrential rain on the day and the bag drop was flooded almost immediately. The course was good, although I assume there’s a reason why it has to be four loops?

The atmosphere made up for the mud and terrible weather! Nothing one can do about that. Well organised event and would run again.
