Route information
Starting and finishing at Sheen Gate this 3 lap course set within Richmond Park makes the most of its surroundings taking you on a challenging yet scenic route.
The first lap is the longest at 12 miles and most intricate section of the route and takes all around this famous London park, up Sawyers Hill and past Duchess Wood and White Lodge. The second and third laps follow the Tamsin Trail which circles Richmond Park. On your way round, be sure to spot Richmond landmarks Roehampton Gate, Robin Hood Gate, Kingston Gate, Ham Gate, Petersham Gate, Richmond Gate, Holly Lodge and the Royal Ballet School. There will be drinks stations at regular intervals, approximately every 3 miles.
Racers are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the course map to avoid getting lost and inaccurate results.

There is limited parking available at the car park at Sheen Gate. Further parking nearby is available on Sheen Lane & Fife Road. It is possible to park further away at Roehampton Gate approximately 1 mile from the star line.
By Public Transport
The closest train station is Mortlake Station which is a 15 minute walk from Sheen Gate.

Race Packs
You are able to collect your race pack from 08:00 from race HQ. Your race pack includes;
- timing chip with instructions
- race number
- safety pins
- bag tag
- race instructions
Cut-off Time
There is a cut-off time of 6 hours 30 minutes for all runners to complete the course.
Bag Drop
The bag drop will be next to race HQ near to the start/finish line. There will be a numbered tag in your race pack you can attach to your bag. Please remember that all bags are left at the owner's risk.

Is the Richmond Park Marathon chip-timed?
Yes it is. Instructions on how to use the chip will be included in the race pack.
Can I leave my own drinks at the drinks stations throughout the Richmond Park Marathon?
There will be a Special Drinks Table at the Sheen Gate for you to leave your special drinks. Please label and mark them clearly.
Will there be somewhere I can leave my bag whilst I run the Richmond Park Marathon?
There will be a manned bag drop next to race HQ at Sheen Gate.
