Our final event of our 2018 race calendar will be the same as last, the Robin Hood Off Road Trail adventure.

The off-road duathlon is one of the 4 different events being held at the Off Road Trail Adventure at Sherwood Pines Forest Park. The duathlon will take place on a challenging course, consisting of a 5km run - 17km bike - 3.4km run.

The change in bike course last year was very popular but this will be changing again for 2018! We promise it will be just as fun and fingers crossed for the mud again!

This whole event is a fantastic adventure challenge set within the 1,200 hectares of woodland and open heathland of Sherwood Pines Forest Park with 4 events available: the Robin Hood Off Road Duathlon and 3 trail runs.

This event has something for everyone, whether you are an adrenaline-junkie wanting to challenge yourself on the off road duathlon course or simply enjoy exercise and want to take part in one of the 3 running disciplines, this is the event for you! With something for everyone, it is a great family day out!

FAQs

Can I try the course before the event?

Yes! The course will be signed from Friday afternoon. The run route will be marked with arrows on an orange fluorescent background. The yellow ones are for the cycle leg. Expect some changes from last year!

I am new to mountain biking will I be able to do it?

Yes! There will be sections that will challenge you, but there is nothing on the course that you can’t do with a bit of determination and there will definitely be sections that will put a smile on your face. You never know you might enjoy it more than you think!

What happens if I hurt myself or feel unwell?

There will be a fully qualified team of first aiders and paramedics on standby, that will have members stationed around the route, as well as a team at the finish.

I have a medical condition; do I need to let them know?

Yes please. You cannot be treated appropriately if they do not know that you have a condition. Please give us information when you enter. You are also asked that you write MC on the front of your race number and the full details on the back, so the team can treat you as quickly and appropriately as possible

Can I see my results on the day?

Yes. There will be a results tent near the finish where you can print out your time. OSB aim to have the results published on the website the Monday after the event, but occasionally if there are queries this may be delayed by a couple of days.

OSB Events is a multi award-winning sporting events company. Since organising our first event in 1991, we have hosted hundreds of events for thousands of competitors in mass participation endurance sports. Iain Hamilton founded OSB Events as a college project and has built a business employing a dedicated work force. He won a lifetime achievement award in 2015 for his work developing the sport in the UK. As organisers of the award winning Outlaw Triathlon, Triathlon Relays and the now infamous Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon, we take a huge amount of pride in our events, with customer satisfaction at the forefront of everything we do. We have been, or still are athletes ourselves and aim to look at everything from the participant’s perspective in order to deliver a safe, enjoyable and memorable race experience - races that we'd like to take part in ourselves.
