Route information
ROC24 is a unique event that caters to all abilities. The aim of the game is to complete as many laps of the beautiful 5k mixed terrain course by the River Orwell.
Participants can compete individually or in teams (3 - 8) and can choose to either run, jog, or walk the course. During the run, there will be a DJ and live music to motivate you throughout the event.
This event will take place at Ipswich High School, Woolverstone Hall, on 7th & 8th May 2022, with overnight camping also available on Friday 6th May. Woolverstone Hall is a Grade I listed building set in 80 acres of parkland located on the banks of the River Orwell, Suffolk.
The 5k course covers as much of the parkland as possible, as it sweeps over manicured lawns, woodland, sheep grazing fields and camping area, with a river vista.

By Car
Woolverstone Hall is only a 10-minute drive from Ipswich town centre and within easy access of the A12 / A14.
Parking
There will be parking available on-site, costing £5 for the weekend, with all proceeds donated to partner charity St Elizabeth Hospice. This will be charged at the gate, so please ensure you have change available.
By Public Transport
Ipswich is the closest train station to Woolverstone Hall, situated around 5 miles away. From Railway Station (Stand R4), ride the 97 bus towards Shotley Gate for 16 stops, alighting at Hall Gates. The start is a short 10-minute walk from here.
Event day logistics

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the race starts to ensure there is ample time to complete registration and get warmed up.
Age Requirements
All entrants must be aged 18 and over in order to participate.
Event Village
The event will host an epic race village with a variety of hot food and drink stalls being added to the park's pre-existing cafe and ice-cream hut. In addition, there will be a retail zone with a variety of well-known sports brands.
100 Mile Medal
Participants who complete 100 miles or more during the 24-hour race will also receive a special '100 mile club member' medal in recognition of this outstanding achievement.
Crowds
Spectator Info
Clubs and teams are encouraged to come along and set up gazebos next to the course to support the participants.
If any spectators wish to camp at this event, then they must purchase a non-competitor camping wristband for £10. This must be purchased no later than one month before the start date.

Do I need to be a certain level of fitness to take part in the ROC24?
This event is perfect for runners of all levels as you can run as far as you wish. All competitors will receive a medal if they complete one 5k lap.
