Route information
This 50k route is your Reading tour guide. Through river and canal towpaths, open pasture and quaint villages, this long, multi-terrain, 1 lap route provides ample opportunity to take in the scenery.
The final race route will be emailed to all participants a week prior to event day with maps and GPS information including the locations of checkpoints, feed stations and toilets.
If you have chosen to run the two person team relay, you will change over at the halfway checkpoint (checkpoint 3).
Please Note There are cut-off times for each checkpoint. If you arrive at the checkpoint after the cut-off time you will be asked to retire from the race.
You must check-in at all checkpoints regardless of if you require refreshments/ assistance or not.

Event day logistics
07:00 - 08:00 Ultra starts
There will be staggered start times between 07:00 and 08:00. You will be made aware of your start time prior to event day.
Race Packs
You will be able to collect your race pack between 06:30 and 07:30. Please try to do this 30 minutes before your race.
Bag Drop
Please leave your belongings in your care where possible. There will be a designated indoor area for racers' belongings but this will not be supervised.
Onsite Facilities
Showers, toilets and the bar will be accessible in the Berkshire County Sports Club.

Team Relay Running
If you have chosen to run a two person relay, you will each run half of the ultra distance. The change over between relay runners will be at the halfway checkpoint. You do not need to be the same age or gender to form a relay team.
FAQs
Will I be able to register for Round Reading Ultra on the day?
Unfortunately not. Registration for the Round Reading Ultra Marathon 50k closes one week before the event.
Can I retire from Round Reading Ultra at any time?
You are free to retire when you feel you cannot go any longer but you will be responsible to make your own way back.
Will there be a bag drop at Round Reading Ultra?
There will be a bag drop but since it will be unsupervised, it is recommended that you do not leave any valuables in your bag.
Can I leave my own refreshments at Round Reading Ultra checkpoints/ feed stations?
You are more than welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks for the race. Whats more is that they can be delivered from the start line to the checkpoints for free.
