Route information
Both courses start and finish at the foot of the beautiful and historic Windsor Castle, current home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The flat course is mainly run along river trail paths and will incorporate many of the key landmarks that have made this area so famous. Some of the highlights include Boveney Lock, Bray, Dorney and Eton.
The course is not designed to be the classic gruelling cross country through puddles and deep mud. Instead it is a fun, friendly and fast trail run through some of the most beautiful countryside the Thames Valley has to offer.

Not enough marshals, 5 of us got completely lost on the course with 2 miles to go due to sign posts missing making the ‘race’ pointless. Our details were taken at the end but still not heard anything from f3.

So well organised, great spacing on the start line. Beautiful course, so pretty. A bit slippery at first because of all the rain, but other than that, it was fantastic!

This event went really smoothly, even with the new restrictions in place. Parking was super easy in Windsor - tons of lots nearby. The nearest lot required coins so it's sensible to bring along a lot of £1 coins to increase your chances of finding easy parking. Number pick up was a breeze - they assigned the number on the fly so I didn't have to queue up based on alphabetisation of my name. The finish line and start line are in separate locations, just across the river. After picking up my number, it was a short warm up jog to the start. The rolling starts were also really easy - you simply queued up when you were ready which really took a lot of stress away. 2 Runners were set off every 10-15 seconds so no one was ever crowded. There was a tent where people could leave bags at their own risk by the finish line. Bottled water was available in one spot on the course, so the 10k passed it twice and half marathon 3-4 times. The course was not closed to the public, so there were a few places where it got a little busy with other traffic but nothing too bad. Spectators were discouraged on the course, but there was plenty of space at the finish to watch people come in. Generally it was a lovely, casual race with nice scenery and a quick course.
