Run Aintree 5K, 10K & Half – September routes

Aintree Racecourse is home to the most valuable jump race in Europe, the Grand National Steeplechase. Get a taste of that excitement and grandeur as you race around the flat course, run entirely on roads and paths, giving you a perfect opportunity to fly down the home stretch and capture a chip timed personal best.

The course is looped and structured as follows:

5K: 1 lap

10K: 2 laps

Half Marathon: 4 laps

Schedule:

10:00: Half Marathon start

10:55: 5K & 10K start

Please ensure you arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race in order to complete the registration process. More information about where to pick up your race pack will be send out to those registered.

Spectators

This is a great event for spectators. Not only is it a chance to enter this iconic venue, but spectators will get a good view of runners due to the looped nature of the course.

What time do the races begin?
The half marathon begins at 10:00am and the 10k & 5k events begin at 10:55am
What is the minimum age?
The minimum ages are; 11 years old for the 5K, 15 years old for the 10K, and 17 years old for the half marathon.
When will I receive my registration pack?
You will collect your bib number and timing chip at the event. We would recommend arriving 45 minutes before the event starts.
Can you sign up for the Run Aintree on the day?
RunThrough does sometimes offer on the day entry if the event is not sold out. However, some of their events do sell out so it's far safer to book ahead of time.
