There were a few issues with waiting a long time to start (in the rain) and there not being enough medals, but overall it was very enjoyable

The course is marketed as “Chester zoo” you are told in the blurb not to dress up as you may scare the animals. There was so little of the course in the zoo I felt this was false advertising. The rest of the course was very uninteresting. The organisation was terrible for collecting race numbers, we didn’t even get a chip time following the event without contacting the team to sort. Really disappointed

My first 10K. Fab course. Expensive. No medals or goodies. Zoo ticket use on the day?? Who wants to go to the zoo when you have just ran 10k!

Friendly event and good for first time. Disappointing not to receive medal in day (don’t know why, but they appeared to run out) but didn’t spoil a great run.

It wasn't clear where the start line was. But otherwise the course was very good and flat/downhill for a PB. Car parking not ideal as it was very muddy and with all the rain we'd had a lot of cars were getting stuck. However, there were plenty of volunteers/staff there to push the cars out. The people that helped me out were really good!

Unfortunately the medals had run out at the finish line but they did find more. Enjoyed the finish with everyone cheering.

Good event, well staffed, great atmosphere and stunning surroundings, definitely recommended. Good day out!

It shouldn't really be called Chester zoo 10k. Ran about 1k in the zoo. It said no fancy dress because of the animals. Didn't see ani. It was alright but won't do it again.
