    Did the 5K in 2020

Should not have run due to cronvirus
I did not run in the event and it should not have run people should have been refunded

The run was very poorly managed on the day! The course was set out for a 5k and I dont think the event leaders knew there was a 10k option. They seemed to make the course up to make it longer and instead having us run two loops of the 5k course they added a smaller loop and encouraged us to the finish line nearly 4K short! We went across the line bewildered and wondering if wed missed a turning but others crossed the line around us saying the same. We decided to cut our loses and join the hot chocolate queue...our reward was a half filled cup of lukewarm Cadbury powdered hot chocolate (something I can buy a huge tub for less than the race entry cost!) and a smattering of toppings. Very disappointed with the event and reward considering the price to enter. Medal was decent though.

Thoroughly enjoyed this run! Friendly atmosphere, lovely course and it was a quiet location. Parking was easy and a nearby play area visible from the start kept young kids entertained. The hot chocolate and large variety of chocolates available at the end was fabulous! The medal was lovely as was the buff. Would definitely recommend and will be doing it next year!
  • Did the 10K in 2019

Not very well organised at all- I ended up doing 7k as they didn't say had to do one loop twice- so had to run another 3 k with my medal! When I finished- there was no hot chocolate left which was very disappointing. Felt like a lot of money for the service that I got!
  • Did the 10K in 2019

Absolutely awful organisation they messed up the course and I only ended up doing just under 8k and none of the stewards knew what they were doing. I will never be doing a run for chocolate run again. Do not enter or pay them any money as I feel like I have been conned! Complete waste of time!
