Run Harwell is back for 2022, and this year includes a 5k and a Kid's Race. This is a fun day for all ages, so the whole family can come and enjoy the futuristic site of the Harwell Campus and the beautiful surrounding area.

Here's what races are available for Run Harwell
Kid's Mini Mile
All three races will start in the futuristic Harwell Campus, with the 5k and Kid's race staying within the site throughout. These two races will take in the highlights of the Campus creating an interesting and fun route. The flat 5k course is perfect for runners looking to run a fast time and push themselves towards a personal best.
The half marathon will take in similar sites on the Campus but also explore the beautiful surrounding area. Runners will enjoy a variety of undulating terrain, including footpaths, bridleways and tracks as they work their way up onto the Ridgeway National Path. The stunning views of the Oxfordshire Countryside create a memorable experience for everyone taking part.
All the routes will have water stations and will be well marked and marshalled.

How to get there

The Harwell Campus is easily accessible from the Chilton junction of the A34, located less than a mile away.
There will be parking available on site, parking is free but competitors are requested to give a £2 donation to support Be Free YC.
Didcot Parkway is the nearest station to the event, approximately 4 miles away.

- Half Marathon: Participants must be 16 years of age or older
- 5k: Participants must be 12 years of age or older
- Mini-mile: Participants must be 4 years of age or older
The event is supporting Be Free YC and taking part will lend support to this local charity. Be Free Young Carers supports the lives and wellbeing of young carers in Oxfordshire
When can I get results for Run Harwell?
The results will be available immediately after the race online and from the event timers.
Will there be parking at Run Harwell?
Yes, there will be free parking available, a £2 voluntary donation supporting charity is requested.
Will I get a medal at Run Harwell?
Yes all finishers will receive a medal, and an event t-shirt.
Will I run on the Ridgeway Path during the Run Harwell?
The Half Marathon route has sections along the Ridgeway, while the 5k and Kids Race will stay within the Harwell Campus.
Just a quick but big thanks for a great run today despite the challenging weather conditions - fantastic course, marshals, fellow runners and t-shirt - I'll definitely be back next year when hopefully it's a bit calmer and we can hang around at the end to better support the stalls and charities - you all did a great job so cheers!
