The 5km and 10km routes begin and end in the centre of Heaton Park. During the race runners will get the opportunity to explore the park in its entirety, as well as passing the park's staple landmark, Heaton Hall.

Although taking in all the same sites, the Half Marathon has minor differences from the 5k and 10k. The course is clearly marked with flags and there are plenty of course marshals to keep morale high and guide you into the finish line.

Great day. It would have been better if 10k could have been mapped out so that you didn't need to do a second loop.

This was my first run and I really enjoyed it the atmosphere was good and it was well organised,it helped that the weather was fine, there was animals I think for the light utopia being built along the route which helped keep your mind off your aches.

Did the Half Marathon in 2019

This was an extremely challenging course with so many difficult inclines. It was mentally challenging as well, given that you had 5 laps of it!

The views were lovely and the Marshall’s were great, although the medic and not one marshal had any blister plasters!

The main issue for me was the crowds.. I spent most of my time dodging families with dogs and bikes, as they were allowed to walk along the running route as normal! It was very frustrating at times.

Medal and snacks at the end were spot on! Thank you

The run was great, more hilly than I expected but enjoyable. Really good atmosphere and beautiful medal.
