Impressed with organisation from start to finish. Good engagement with participants,assertive, informative and humorous. I got a bit confused with the mile markers but probably due to different races going off at different times. Good idea having free protein drink at end, I loved all the food you gave out. A nice designed medal but I think it would be good if there were different medals for the different distances.

I thought the organisation was excellent, the only request is better clarity around the numbers. Maybe an M for miles and KM on the 5 or 10 route.

Challenging, deceptively hilly, traffic free course with plenty of opportunity for family and friends to see you at various locations.. Great medal, very distinctive and with room on the back to engrave race details and result. Highly recommended.One area for review would be the finish line very close to crossing points and a number of people crossed it from the wrong side.A barrier to prevent direct entry from the wrong side with left and right side exits to prevent bottle necks and prominent no entry sign being a possible option for future events.

Was pretty well organised for a small event. Course was quite technical lots of hair pins and hills will mean its not going to draw big crowds of PB chasers. Everyone I know who ran it as well were short on distance between 100-130 metres short of the half. So think maybe something to look at from a length perspective. 

Felt completely welcomed from the moment we arrived, there was no confusion whatsoever, amazing atmosphere. The half marathon course ended up having double the elevation shown on the website - 4x as much as the 10k - which I still can't figure out, but it was a beautiful place to run.

I entered this after doing their Tatton Park 10k as it serials for running with my little lad in his running buggy, it is a tough course with a buggy but will worth the effort and the race organisers let us start with runners of our place faster than the default must start at the back response we get off many races (we finished 30th).Well run, great fun what's not to like. 

I really enjoyed this race, the course was great, And Heaton Park is lovely to run around.  Despite those nasty hills there was lots of nice downhill to coast down.  Ended up running 2 mins faster than expected.  The only slight problem was I couldn't really hear the loud speaker before the race so couldn't hear the warm up or when they called us to the start

Really good Half Marathon, plenty of parking within short walk of event.  Challenging route with a swine of a hill which you conquer 4 times.  Thanks

I struggled a bit with going up that hill 4 times, although there's an element of me overdoing it the day before, and having a little bit of a cold so it is partly self-inflicted!

I've done a few half marathons but this was by far the toughest course I've done due to the hill that was completed 4 times, the whole day was excellently organised, ample parking, registration took seconds, the warm up was entertaining. I was a little concerned when viewing the course map that it looked a little over complicated but due to the fantastic marshals it was a breeze, after the first little loop it was the same route completed 4 times. My only slightly negative comment was that the park was busy with families enjoying a Sunday morning walk and I nearly got taken out by a child on a bike and a dog running off the lead but after all it is a park open to the public. Would I do it again? yes probably I would a challenging but enjoyable half marathon.       

Despite being very cold I enjoyed it! Heaton Park is deceptively hilly but a good course around the park meant it was all traffic free! I enjoyed the laps as I got to see other members of my running club to cheer on! Well organised, started on time and lots of goodies at the end which is always a bonus!!

Loved it! Hard but lovely course. I'm always last and worry I'll get lost. Not at Heaton park. Loads of marshall's, and all amazing encouragement for a plodder like me. If only they where all like this. Thank you so much for getting me to the end. X x 

Great atmosphere and well organised. Nice medal and goodies too. Highly recommended 

The event was well organised . The route for 10k has 120m of elevation which is a little hilly, with two major climbs. The route has a number of tight turns which can slow you down a little . As there are 3 races at the same time , it can seem a little chaotic but it is well marshalled.   I would recommend it as an alternative to a large scale run in a town / city centre.  Its not too busy so you dont have to jostle for space. No Pace groups / Pace makers though.  Nicely designed medal ! It sells out early so dont wait till last few weeks to book as you will miss out

I live opposite the park so Im familiar with the routes taken. However, it was TOUGH, four times up the golf club climb really took it out of me! Well marshalled, great atmosphere and they let me register on the day. Top banana!

I enjoyed the race but found it a bit dangerous due The the ice on the ground and none of the course was treated with grit-salt. But other than that a decent race

Great half marathon, beautiful day and setting was really nice around the park. Was a fun morning out, really well organised, with lots of people getting involved. Would definitely recommend it and do it again next year :) 

Very well organised, easy to navigate round the course,great encouragement from the marshalls all the way round.Fantastic venue with great facilities, the bag drop should have been better advertised, our group didn't know this facility was available..Great day great event, i will be joining again. Thought the race was good, could have been made better by putting cones down to split the route in two in some areas, at some points you where crossing paths with other runners. Also would like to receive a t-shirt rather than a medal. Cant really use a medal again but running t-shirts do come in use. 

Ive only done a couple of 10ks to date, Heaton Parks was a little chaotic compared to others, starting a 5k and 10k together only 15 min after the half didnt really leave much of a gap between them and every one got jumbled up together. The initial loop at the beginning wasnt easy given spectators were in the way, then you more or less cross over the runners coming back from the loop around the lake. I personally didnt enjoy doing 2 loops to make the 10 k distance, as it meant enduring the hills twice! Along with this the park was also open to public so added to the hills you were dodging walkers, runners, prams, kids and dogs! Not ideal but not sure how it could have been avoided. 

I had an injury so reduced my pace throughout. Really enjoyed the race and well organised. I like that there was one significant hill.

Weather improved after an icy start, was a bit hilly but luckily there was also a good downhill too.

The course was hard (serious hill!) but when I finished I got an awesome medal. The stewards were very friendly and the water was much appreciated. They also offered fruit. I would do it again! 

Enjoyable, well organised race on a challenging course. Id definitely do it again.  Only small gripe is congestion around the golf course, slower runners blocking the path and ignoring signs to stay left. This could easily be resolved with better marshalling. 

It was my first run race ever and I have no terms of comparison, but I did not struggle to find anything and people were friendly and helpful.Overall a nice first race, will definitely do some more.

I really enjoyed the run, the atmosphere and the warm up were fab, all the marshals were friendly and very encouraging I loved hearing them shake the tambourines, the only downside was the ice in patches on the course, but that's down to the weather, maybe if it had been gritted this would not have been there. I would do this run again.

Really well organised and a great atmosphere. Course is good because off roads but a bit twisty and hilly so not a fast course. Really nice all the same.

The route was good, no major probs. It was slightly confusing at times with runners from the half going one way and the 10k another. The marshalls had good control except insisting that the leader of the half had done enough laps (he had)...the bag drop, toilets, post race water etc were all good. That second hill was a killer. 

Fantastic atmosphere, hilly course but the views were fabulous. Really well organised and the stewards were all fabulous and encouraging! Would definitely recommend and will be back again 

If you could flatten out those hills, that would be great :-)

Really good course and well organised. Bag drop was used and no issues at all on the day.

I really enjoyed the run - first time at Heaton and first time on a lap course. The climb was a surprise!! Really well organised as always - I do Tatton runs mainly. Near the end felt for runners as lots of dogs everywhere.  Thanks for organising the event and for inspiring me to be better at climbs. 

I really enjoyed the race, I signed up having previously done Run Tatton and was impressed by the event and the organisers.With having so many people of differing abilities all out at the same time it made some narrow paths hard to get past people, but realistically wouldnt have made too much impact on the time.After race goodies were ace, love the flapjacks! The medal would be better if it stated the actual event than all 3 that took place.I would run the event again, good atmosphere however you best be prepared for the hill on the last lap!!

Such a good little half marathon. This is only my second so not much to compare to but really impressed with the event - super well run. So well that I want to be a part of it and am volunteering next time. 4 laps is hard to do so a longer course would have been better but it was a good course.
