This fantastic 10-miler race is one of the most popular races in the North East, attracting both club and non-club runners. Following a similar route to the Matfen 10k but with fewer hills, this course is perfect for all abilities.
The route takes participants through the beautiful surroundings of Maften, the picturesque village in Northumberland. They will complete a loop which begins at the Village Hall in Maften and then snakes towards Great Whittington.
There is then a straight section towards Ryal before participants slope back down towards Maften and finish next to the start line.

Get full directionsBy Car
Follow the A68 and take the turning onto the B6318. Continue along towards Wall Houses and follow the left turning towards Go Ape Maften.
The starting area is opposite Ethical Healthcare Consulting.
Parking
Parking is available on the village by-pass opposite Matfen Hall.
