Run Norwich takes place in the heart of Norwich’s historic city centre. The route passes some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Norwich Castle, The Forum, Norwich Cathedral, Norwich City FC’s Carrow Road and many more.
All race roads will be closed to traffic while the race is in progress. The course will be clearly marked at every kilometre. Water stations, toilets and first aid areas will be located at various intervals on the route.
Race Village Location
The Run Norwich Race Village is located in Chapelfield Gardens and will be the hub of activity for the day. It is the main area to meet up with friends and family following the race, as well as getting that all important post-run photo!
Information about what is going on in the Race Village this year will be released nearer the event.

Race Packs
On the day
Collections for Race Packs are located at The Forum, Norwich, NR2 1TF. On Friday the 15th you are able to collect between 09:00-18:00, and on Saturday the 16th between 09:00-16:00.
Collecting on the day means that you have a change of receiving a Golden Ticket. Ten lucky runners will receive a Golden Ticket in their pack which entitles them to excited goodies from the event sponsors.
Race Packs sent by Post
You may choose to have your pack sent to you via post. There will be a small delivery charge of £1.60 (plus the Active Network transaction fee) and you will receive your race pack two weeks before the race.
Please note: you will not be eligible for the Golden Ticket if you choose this option.
Charity Entrants
Official race charity entrants will not be eligible for the Golden Ticket – packs must be collected from their chosen charity stand on the day.
Picking up Packs for Friends and Family
If you are picking up the race pack on behalf of a friend, please bring along a signed letter/email authorising you to pick up the pack on their behalf.
If you have concerns about you or a friend/family member being able to pick up your race number, please contact the event organiser.
Age Requirements
Participants need to be aged 16 years old or over on race day.
Entrants that are 16 or 17 years old will need to be entered by a parent or legal guardian.
Timing chip
Your timing chip will be affixed to the reverse of your race number. This chip will automatically record your race time, from the time you cross the start line to the time you pass the finish line.
First aid & water stations
As well as a full medical team is also based at the Race Village at Chapelfield Gardens post-race. There are three First Aid points and water stations on the route:
- Carrow Road – 3.5 km
- Norwich Cathedral – 7.5km
- Finish Line – 10km
