Run Richmond Park 5k and 10k Race 3 routes

The route takes runners around the incredibly scenic Richmond Park on a mix of country paths and cross country sections. There are many fast sections but there are a few hills thrown in.

Runners are encouraged to go at their own pace so feel free to walk, jog or run

Please take care when running around the course as this is public land and local residents will be on the Park. Runners should also be aware that there are deer in the Park and they occasionally cross the walking paths and roads.

Lovely course - most of it was off road which was perfect for me (though a tad muddy in places). Very well organised event and will definitely be returning

A fairly tough 10k with moderate 'undulations' and stiff breezes. Beautiful surroundings of Richmond park. You wont get a PB here but its a great training /race prep for longer distances and when you do get a flat race after this, your legs/lungs will be better prepared for a higher pace. Enjoyable.

Course was great, well laid out and clear all other aspects of the event itself were well organised barring the toilet situation. No portable toilets were provided, Richmond Park has their own toilets (which cost 20p to enter). This was not something we were aware of beforehand and neither myself nor my partner had any change. Luckily this problem was solved by the hundreds of people queuing up to use the half dozen toilets that were available, and holding the door open to allow others use free of charge. Had to wait nearly 30 minutes for us both to use the bathrooms only allowing us 5 minutes before the race began. It would have been nice to see some portable toilets made available for use on the day. That aside, we had a fun day.

Great fun and a really lovely atmosphere and vibe. I would do this again.

All smooth, a bit exhausting during the race ;-)Maybe you can think about serving ISO during and after the race ... water has no electrolytes. Warm tea at cold race days will also be nice. Was there a winners ceremony afterwards?

This is a fairly well organised race, with marshals throughout to ensure you don't stray off course. The race follows the pathway around the park and mostly on gravel. It's also flat, with only one short section with anything even remotely undulating. You run a 5k loop (twice for the 10k) and the end section has a couple of sharp turns and is run on grass. As a result it can be a little slippy under foot in wet weather. Overall this is a good event. You must be aware or other park users, particularly cyclists, as the paths aren't closed to others. However there this is really only a minor issue in the first few KMs until the field spreads out.
