The grounds are lovely and it has potential but unfortunately this is the 2nd year and they've not improved on the signage or marshalling.People in the half were cutting corners and getting lost. The 3rd water station seemed to mysteriously disappear. There are no mile/km markers to tell you where you are and the marshalls have no idea whereabouts on the route they're stationed or how much further is left.Goody tote bag had some water, redbull and curried chickpeas

The course was lovely, through the grounds, woods and lots to see. Some of the field bits were harder going under foot but still pretty. There were no repeated bits which was good as it felt like you were always making progress. There were no mile/kilometre markers which made for a shock at the end when the course looped away from the finish at the final mile! Personally I liked running under the shade and didn't mind the odd tree root. The road also was nice and wide and flat to help tired legs! There was lots of excellent support, hats off to those that gave their time to encourage everyone along. We had 3 water stations (paper cups) on the route. It would have been useful to be able to know in advance where these would be distance wise and logically before hand. The signposting and access, and parking were very good. There were food facilities but I wish there were more toilets (or better organised). The last 2 events had queues of up 40 minutes meaning a delayed start time. This year the start was delayed and again people still queued til last minute. I guess plenty of opportunities on the course for a "wild wee" if you don't mind!I liked the medal and goody bag though wish the can of water hadn't been brought from so far. Nice idea not using plastic but having to ship water canned in Austria is possibly not the most economic friendly. Overall I loved the run and will definitely run the 10k course.

My 1st time running this event. Overall an ok experience. Positives: Good challenging coursePlenty of smiling marshalls to point you in the right directionGood atmosphere at HQ - my family were more than happy waiting for me to finish.Negatives: Placing of drinks stations - 2 within the 1st 7km then last one around 14km - on a hot day that last one needs to be further along really.Late start - didn't bother me but little explanation as to why.Lack of toilets - needed far more for the runners involved, queues way too long.Course short on everyones watch (which could be attributed to the trees). As said I thought the event was ok. It was advertised as a trail run which is what it was. Just need to iron out the slight issues - particularly in my eyes the location of the drinks stations.

No pre race brief, no warm up session, late start, no distance markers, water stations poorly organised and had to run around marshals wandering down running route. Why aren't people told to keep left if they are walking and allow runners to pass.Being presented with a cheap totebag and sponsors freebies at the end felt cheap. I don't think any of the lads will ever use them. Generally grumble I heard was an expected a t-shirt.The BBQ stall were packing up as i got in 2.5hours after the last wave had set off.Compared to 2021 (which was great) this event was a complete contrast and felt more like a money making exercise.Mixed terrain routes a good challenge and running through the shade of the woods was great.

Need Exit signs for the carpark. Pre-race email at first linked to 2021 ... then got to 2022 info by taping the link in a slightly different place... to find conflicting information about whether there was a bag drop or not. So had to contact the organisers. Need far far far more toilets. I counted 20 which is totally inadequate and not very hygienic as some had stopped flushing before the 5k had even started! Liked the course, medal and bag. Not impressed with the contents. Revolting food.Really liked how the runners names were called out as they finished.Need more refreshment stalls as huge queues and ran out of food.

I got sent the wrong coloured bib so had to set off in last group which was a bind as I ended up having just a steady run chatting to a mate. Water stations two in the first 4.5 miles then quite a long wait till the next one. Goody bag was poor. Marshalls were brilliant and its a great place to run round, overall I would do it again.
