Route information

The course takes place in the stunning Tatton Park in the heart of Cheshire.

The undulating course takes place on closed roads and is often described as a fast course. Many competitors have recorded personal bests over the years.

How to get there

Get full directions

By Car

Entrants will need to enter Tatton Park from Ashley Road after turning off Mereside Road. This is not the usual entrance to the park and there will be marshals to direct entrants from 6am.

Tatton park is signposted from the M56 and M6 and the entrance to the park is approximately half a mile from Knutsford Railway station. From here, entrants should follow the postcode WA16 6QQ once they've reached the Knutsford area.

Parking

There will be limited parking space at the event, and entrants are asked to arrive in plenty of time before the event. There will be marshals on hand at the event to direct entrants from 6am.

By Bike

There are cycle racks available at both main entrances to the park. Please do not lock your bike to any of the fences on the course.

Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time in order to complete the registration process and warm-up.

This was my first time of entering a 10K here at Tatton, my sons were doing the half so i tagged along to do the shorter distance, at 79 I only normally do 5K's, I really enjoyed it, the organisation was brilliant, great atmosphere and the course was enjoyable with some nice views. In fact i am hoping to do the next one in December with several members of my family, if my legs are fit enough by then, ha.ha.

The event was well organised. The group warm up was good. Great atmosphere and beautiful place. A bit slow to get into the car park. Other than that was a great event. I enjoyed it very much .

Very expensive 10K run - feel’s too commercially motivated. Would not recommend to others. Based on over 1000 races over 35+ years. Need to give free entry or 3-5£ entry for under 18s, same for over 60s, … . Pricing is just ridiculous.

The event was not well signed posted from the road so this could be done better. That said the event overall was very well organised, no queues parking and leaving the event, the event staff were very friendly and helpful, I really liked the course, the runners start/finish area was great, and plenty of toilets without queues, and nice range of goodies available at the finish line. Well done on a great event.
