My first ultra for my 50th birthday that same weekend. Tough second half across the South downs but the scenery more then made up for it. Was worried about getting lost but the whole course is very well signposted. ☑ In points were well stocked with snacks and drink and everyone very friendly. Genuinely loved every minute of it and will be back next year to do Bournemouth. Well done and thank you everyone for this brilliant event

My first time doing an Ultra Violet event but not first ultra. The event was very well organised before and on the day. The course is very scenic and challenging. The medal is very impressive and the ice cream on a hot day much appreciated. I think it would have been great to see fresh fruit slices and more savoury snacks such as sandwiches from fuelling station 2 onwards. After a while you can’t take on any more sweet items and savoury would be fantastic. I would like to say a huge thank you to the marshals who were so kind and helpful. I will definitely be back to do another ultra violet event!! Sarah

This was my first ultra and not having been entered into the event properly made the actual day a bit of a hash as I didn’t get any information sent to me about the bus from the end to the start and the time to get it, I found out from other entrants and managed to work it out with their help! the event had some lovely Marshall’s. The route was a bit flat at first but then when the hills came they sure did!!

The signage was excellent and anyone saying the Hove park signs were missing well they weren’t. They just weren’t looking and had already not seen earlier signs. I was witness.

Great comms before the event, friendly race team and Marshalls, a challenging route but that’s what we all want, nice mix of disused railway then up onto the South Downs with its brutal climbs but rewarding views. A good day out.
