Route information
The route starts in Wimbledon, London, and finishes at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. There are changeover points approximately every 12 miles, meaning you cover roughly 60 miles each day. The terrain is mostly on road, but there are large sections of trail and off-road running required.
- Day 1 (Thursday): Run from Wimbledon, London to Campsite 1 on the UK coast. Each leg today is about a half marathon distance (13 miles)
- Day 2 (Friday): Ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe, run from French coast to Campsite 2. The legs are shorter today, and the course is flat and straight, so you can make quick progress.
- Day 3 (Saturday): Campsite 2 to Campsite 3. Known as the Queen Stage, the legs are tough and long but there is some stunning scenery along the way.
- Day 4 (Sunday): Campsite 3 to Paris. The team gathers at Trocadero and runs the final mile together.
Every team will have their own live tracking device and a route map. You must download the RunGo App in advance, which will have all the information and will act as your SatNav. The tracking device acts as the team baton, so you must pass it between team members at the changeover points.
How it works
There are 5 legs of roughly 12 miles, each to be run by every member of the team.
In your team of 5 there must be 2 drivers and 1 vehicle. The car will hold any kit and camping gear, and will transport 4 out of 5 of the team between each leg.
Please note that the drivers must feel comfortable driving in France, and in the city centre of Paris.
You must provide your car's registration plate and proof of insurance and breakdown cover before the event.
