Route information
This is a flat fast course that starts and finishes outside the large main stand and Richmond RunFest have reduced the laps to only 5 laps (1 small lap and 4 laps of 5-mile distance).
The marathon will start at the racecourse grandstands so the music and atmosphere will be electric. With their famous cheer points on the Back Stretch and a DJ at the start and finish, you'll struggle not to feel the adrenaline rush as you make your way around the course.
This course will be perfect for any hopefuls looking to qualify for the London Marathon under 'Good for age' requirements as it is a fully licensed event.
There will also be a Family Mile race, entries for which will open soon.

I enjoyed the event in almost every way. There was one left turn on the second half of the course as I approached going south which was marked by 3(?) cones but no marshal. The two runners ahead of me went straight on through the cones really. I followed them then had second thoughts and doubled back to the turn, which I'm sure was the correct way. It took me 47 seconds to get back to the turn (according to Strava). So I think the turn was adequately marked and I would have gone the right way, if I hadn't seen anyone ahead of me going wrong. It is just a shame there wasn't a marshal there. Everything else about the event was great and I am very pleased with the time, considering what happened

The marshals were fantastic and so supportive. Especially as I finished near the back of the field. The photographers were amazing and also the team at the finish... really well organised and a beautiful race. Thank you.

The race was superbly organised with very helpful staff and great volunteers. There's lots of parking and the venue is easy to access. The course is completely flat so nice and easy but just not particularly scenic. There's also only spectators for small amounts of the course so the atmosphere is quite flat for most of it. Would definitely recommend for someone wanting a PB though!

I found it a little disorientating as it wasn't always clear what the signs were for e..g mile 4 etc.
