Route information
Goodwood Motor Circuit is unique and it is the only classic circuit to remain entirely in its original form. Originally opening in 1948, Goodwood has hosted countless motor racing events and is current home to the Festival of Speed.
The running course will take place on the track itself and runners will benefit from the smooth tarmac.
Each lap of the course is around 5k, so competitors will need to complete a different number of laps depending on their race.

How to get there

Get full directionsBy Train
There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester (1 hour 40 minutes), plus the coastal service from Brighton and Portsmouth. Buses or taxis are then available at Chichester Station.
By Car
The event site is located just 60 miles from London, and 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton.
From London: Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.
From the East: Follow the A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangmere roundabout before Chichester, go straight over. Take the exit signposted Guildford/Petworth. Go right at the first roundabout, and straight over the second roundabout.
Follow the road until you reach the second left, signposted Lavant. Turn left here and follow the road down to the second cross roads. Turn right, following the brown signpost for the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
From the West: Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 bypass/ring road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.
Parking
There will be parking at the event.
Event day logistics
09:00 All races start
Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race in order to complete pick up your race pack.
More information about race day specifics will be sent out to those registered.
Race Packs
All race packs are to be collected on event day from registration. It will take approximately 15 minutes so please arrive with plenty of time to go through this process.
Your timing chip will be within your race pack, which you should attach to your shoe.
Age Requirements
- 5k is open to runners aged 11 and over
- 10k is open to runners aged 15 and over
- Half Marathon is open to runners aged 17 and over
- 20 mile and Marathon are open to runners aged 18 and over
Bag Drop
There will be an informal self-serve bag drop at the event, but runners are encouraged to leave as much as they can in their cars.
