The Olympic Park is very open to the elements, so dressing appropriately for the weather is a must. The course is as close to flat as they could make it; the gradients are small and gentle. The 5K course is two loops, and the 10K course is four loops; if you're anything like me, be prepared for the mental hurdle of having to pass the finish line several times to complete the distance.

Despite it being a very cold and early start, I found the race very well organised- the marshals at these events are always very encouraging and for the front runners also good at letting you know your position. The course was quite narrow in places which made overtaking hard, but that would be my only gripe. Otherwise another very well organised, and most importantly fun atmosphere to race in.

No pacers. Unclear scrappy start with no one sectioned into times. Great marshals. Very vague baggage drop that looked very risky and insecure. Pointless massage advert. Mid match of medals, looked like they just wanted to get rid of old stock.

Really well run event! The warm up was good fun and was gauged at a level for all levels of athletes. The volunteers were amazing the whole way round; I did the 10km race and there was not one volunteer who didn't cheer us all on every time I passed (and it was 4 laps!), so they were fantastic! Yummy nutrition provided at the end of the race as well. Really enjoyed the experience :-)

Good run, just found 4 times around the same course slightly monotonous.

I found this a very well organised and fun event. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming to all levels of ability, and the course was nice and flat! Pre race information emails were super helpful in getting us there on time and ready to go. Would definitely recommend!
