Funny way to get people to move! Too busy later on for more talented runners. And the corners are too sharp and slippery for them. Thanks for the volunteers and organisation!… read more

Thank you for the support and organisation, I was fond of pretty much everything, the only thing I was missing was the last lap of the half-marathon wasn't all signed pre-race and eventually marked as ''0.5 miles'', it took me however, nearly 4 minutes to conquer which implies it had to be longer and likely mismeasured by the organisers. Generally happy for my results, however, couldn't do strong finish due to longer than expected distance in the last lap… read more

I loved it - at first I thought doing 6 and a half laps of the park would be a bit of a challenge - it wasn't - doing a HM there was like doing a track race on a much larger scale.

A great race location, Victoria Park is stunning in the autumn. Easy for supporters to come and cheer you on. Nice flat course. Nice to have the 5k and 10k runners out with us for part of it.

This was my first 10k and I enjoyed it overall - your volunteers were absolutely awesome and even though I was one of the slowest 10k times I didn't feel out of place.

A little more signage for 10k runners would have been good - I wasn't sure where the lap started and ended so was relying on my app. Having said that, your volunteers were very proactive and clear when it came to the time where 10k people were finishing and were funneling off from the main route.

Overall I'd definitely recommend this event.

Half marathon involved doing 6 laps. My only gripes are that they didn't clean up any of the super-slippery leaves, which would have been especially handy on the sharp corners. It's not fun having to avoid injuring yourself on a crowded course; for something that wouldn't have taken very long to clean up. Another bit of the course had horse-poo in the middle which they also didn't remove.

The route was fairly dull to be honest. The lack crowds / support didn’t help and although your own staff did a great job it’s a venue I wouldn’t return to in the future.

Great course, flat for beginners well organised and lovely park for family to come and watch. Would deffo do again

Really enjoyed the event. As a faster runner the traffic caused running both the 10km and the half marathon concurrently did cause some issues. I feel I could have run faster if it wasn’t for all of the dodging in and out of other runners as they were lapped.

Route gets rather repetitive. I ran the half marathon and was very confusing with all the laps, as if I didn’t have my Fitbit with the distance I had ran, I wouldn’t know how many laps I had left. Atmosphere pretty poor and not enough T-shirt’s for everyone, so I didn’t get one and some people had different medals, maybe from last year ?

Good course but quite dull going around the park nearly 7 times ... would be good to go elsewhere too. Signage for mileage not always that obvious. But overall good event

Well organised event, water wasn’t near the finish line and I couldn’t see it because of the crowds of people. Toilets also not near enough to the course so if you did need to go you’d have to waste time getting over to them. Apart from that it was great, flat course and friendly team.

Great course, very flat and quick. 6 laps for the Half Marathon but was plenty of marshals cheering and guiding and the signs were very good. Brilliant atmosphere and the flapjacks at the end were amazing! I'll definitely be signing up again next time

Love this flat course, I always seem to run a PB or very close to here. Always well organised and sign posted. Marshals are great and of course the flapjacks at the end are just the best

Don't usually like laps but I didn't find this course bad at all. Very well organised with 5k, 10k and half marathon all starting and finishing at different times but there was no confusion.

Nice course (flat, so good for a novice like me), well organised, lovely volunteers and good photos. Just wish it was closer to home, I may have accidentally thought it was near Victoria - I live in South London! Either way, I would do it again, hoping to move up to the 10km next year. Thanks to all involved.

Good course - it was my first half marathon and I would say this is a good course to start on! The event was run really well and there support throughout the course kept me going. A good playlist - running shoes and snacks were vital as well as carb loading before the day. It all made a huge difference on the day. Just get there in good time and enjoy the process! Dont pressure yourself on times etc.
