Olympic Park 5K & 10K – January routes

The course begins at the ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower, one of the most unique attractions in the park. The race then loops around the gigantic Olympic Stadium - now home to West Ham Football Club - before coming back along the waterfront with views toward the Lee Valley VeloPark.

The route is 2.5km long and therefore 5k runners will complete it twice with 10km participants doing it four times.

Course marshals will be stationed at all key points throughout the race and there are refreshment stations on the course.

It was my first ever 10k run. I found 4 laps of the same route boring. I was not sure how it all worked and at the end no one told me anything. I did not know there was cookies, bananas etc. I just happened to stumble across them. Staff at the counters were chatting to themselves and did not seem interested to help. Found a huge environmental wast of water and plastic bottles being wasted. Could do so much better.

Super fun course in the heart of the olympic park. Takes in some greenery and some nice stretches canalside. A deceptively challenging climb towards the end of the laps to watch out for thoughLike every runthrough event I've attended, it's well organised, lots of fun and a really positive atmosphere

Really well organised race from RunThroughUK. All information was sent through by email prior to event. A great 3 lap course, which didn't seem too repetetive, and lots of support from the marshals around the course. Fab medal, with banana, flapjack and a 1 litre bottle of water for finishers.

Good event. Well organised, instructions were clear and easy to understand.Course was well signposted although original email said would be 4 laps and on the day ended up being 3. Was explained clearly though. Paths little bit narrow at the start with everyone bunched up but fine as race went on. Would definitely run with RunThrough again, medal was good!
