A picturesque and flat course along the Thames towpath, this is a good opportunity for a PB. There were about 600 runners, which seemed about the right amount: not too chaotic or busy, but runners of all abilities took part. It was a good atmosphere from start to finish. Also, there is a large car park right opposite the start/finish and Richmond train station is just a few minutes walk away, so its really easy to get to. This would be a great first half marathon to do, or if you're a beginner. This was my fourth, and I managed a PB.

This is one for more serious runners, if you are slow it gets lonely with no crowd support, marshals gone and things packing up fast by the time you get back.

I would do this again. It was easy to park and well organized. The course was flat and mostly beautiful by the river -- removed a star for the repeated loop (dispiriting) and required run through an estate for 2 miles. But the crowds were not massive which made the whole experience nice and relaxing. I am a fan.

No atmosphere disheartening loop so having elite runners lapping you was not ideal, Marshall’s on phones and disinterested, no atmosphere not closed from public so busy when trying to finish, whilst coming to finish having another loop to do, hardly any water stations no cheer stations, no T-shirt, only good thing was the medal.

This was my first half marathon and it couldn’t have been better. It was incredibly well organised, the run was flat and scenic, and the atmosphere was great. Overall I had a great experience.

Great scenic route, glad they used paper cups rather than plastic bottles as even though they are trickier to drink from its better for the environment. Organisation beforehand could be improved - it wouldn't have taken more than an hour to enter the route on to Google Maps and share it - the cropped, poor resolution map with an arrow drawn in MS Paint that was provided was very poor.

Good organisation. Sadly I missed out on a T shirt as they seemed to be available only at the beginning and the stall had shut by the time I got to the finish. Big shout out for the marshalls - thank you. Particularly the guy at mile 5/9 who was so friendly and encouraging - made a huge difference. Also the marshalls by the bridge. Makes a huge difference to runners so big thanks!I enjoyed the run but I think the course had to be changed because of the weather. It was rather disconcerting to do a double loop and have the elite runners pass you (I thought I was running backwards!) Also having the finish arch in site and then having to do a loop round it to approach it was a bit disheartening. The run was very spread out because of having to get over the bridge in small numbers which made runner camaraderie difficult.Nonetheless, I enjoyed the run and lovely to run along the river.

Great run, nice organisers. Would have been so helpful if they'd shared a what3words address to help runners & supporters find the start line more easily - what3words.com

It was a great course to run. Needed some energy gels or something other than one or two water stations for the distance.Nice medal, will do this again for PB

This was my first race with Lets do it..i would think it was ok. Parking was convenient. Pre race information was quite good. Could not hear the guy on the mic unless you are right in the front. Initial runners started off and ran in wrong direction, no one to instruct.. Was hilarious.Course was nice but got very crowded with local crowds and dog walkers. It is expected if you run thru town. I was really hoping we would enter the big deer park but this was far from it .Apart from few marshalls at start the rest did not even lift their face up from their mobile phones and looked completed disinterested . water stations were good but would have expected isotonic gels specially for a half . Medal was nice but after race snack was nothing very healthy. banana fine but capri sun and kitkat.....least one could get was a protein bar or as you bag of veg crisps as you crave salt after a long race.Have attended better events for the money I paid.
