A small but nice race around Wimbledon. The organisation at the start was a bit chaotic as the sound system was not loud enough and you couldn’t hear most of the announcements. Otherwise well organised, efficient bag drop off and collection. Some of the staff at the race number collection definitely did not know the alphabet :D which made the race number collection a bit slower than it should have been and people just looked through the race numbers themselves...… read more

It was a beautiful sunny day and Wimbledon is so pretty so really enjoyed this. The course was crowded on the first lap because it was on pavements. I wasn't aiming for a PB but it might make it hard if you are. My only real complaint is that the shirts we paid for are way too big/long.

Overall a great effort from the organisers. The stretch at the beginning was useful and good to get rid of some of the nerves. Marshalls were friendly and helpful in general. Only negative comment is in the final mini-loop, I felt very lost and almost didn't know where to run at some points. There could have been more obvious signs on how to get to the finish line and the Marshalls could have put more effort at that point. Don't forget how knackered runners are towards the end, and therefore not able to focus as much.

All on open roads and pavements. Minimal Marshalling. Very weak compering. Stick to run-through events if I were you.

The route was nice and had a varied terrain. My only comment I would leave was that it was very difficult to negotiate pedestrians whilst coming through Wimbledon villiage. Many times I had to stop to avoid people who were unaware that the race was taking place. There should have been a designated running lane perhaps or better signage to avoid this. Most of the Marshalls were cheerful and encouraging however a small number were on their phones rather than helping with directions

Very well organised and a beautiful route. My only fault of the whole event would be the group warm up. Apart from that it was the most amazing Sunday morning.

Great feel to the race, but early start on a Sunday made it difficult to prepare for (10am preferred). Route challenging (nothing wrong with that) but needs to avoid Wimbledon Village or have road closures put in place. All runners got caught up here resulting in a number of people getting shoved in/out of the way! Shame the medal wasnt race specific either. Good treats at the end

Race was poorly organised in following respects:1. No road closures, meaning you run on the pavements - this was at times unsafe, especially running through Wimbledon village where numerous people are also on the pavements including young children and dogs. Have to remain alert throughout race whilst crossing roads to look for cars. 2. Route posted on website was slightly different to actual route which caused confusion for supporters. 3. Results still not available today (i.e more than 24 hours following race).4. Final 1.1m of route could have been better thought through - zig-zagging through the common to the finish line is pretty de-motivating!Would have been good to have live GPS live tracking.

Enjoyable on the whole: organisation/marshals/signage all fine but current course suffers from being very slow and constricted at the start (why start the 10k at the same time as the Half?) and pretty busy, particularly during the second lap of the Half in the Wimbledon village section. It's not much fun dodging buses, traffic, pedestrians, dogs, children etc. A staggered start and an earler overall start time might help fix these annoyances.

It was my first 10k marathon with run uk. I thoroughly enjoyed it, the pacers were motivating and friendly and there were ample of marshals to encourage you to keep going. In short, I would certainly sign up to another run, excellent experience!

Great atmosphere at start and finish and varying route with challenging areas of hill. Some of the marshalls could have been a bit more engaging but the others were.brilliant. Nice medal and marshall at finish was very helpful.

Needs alot more atmosphere and more Marshall's directing cars and people. Otherwise a nice and challenging course

The marshals were truly awful. No interest. The course was good but not that challenging. I will definitely do it again.

Very well organised! Be more creative with the 21km route. Let it run through the common etc and not a loop of the 10km.

Very well organised, it was my first Half Marathon (or any race for that matter) and it was really enjoyable. the course worked really well, well sign posted and plenty of stewards along the way to point you in the right direction as well as being very encouraging. Only reason for 4 stars for the course instead of 5 is because the uphill 1/2 mile at miles 5 and 10(ish) were a bit of a killer for a newbie, but i'd definitely do it again next year and just prepare more for that!! Pacers were great too by the way and really helped me do much better than I thought I would.

Nice local event but thought that the course was not well thought. Why could we have not run across the open common? Run crossed multiple roads and cars often had to stop or runners let them by.

A small event that was well organised and in a beautiful location but the course does take you along streets that arent closed to the public so not a place for a PB. I would recommend the course to others

First time running a half marathon and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere that they created before the race was fantastic. Great to have pacers helping you track your progress along the way and some great snacks afterwards to help you recoop. The course is great, but the hill 3 quarters of the way through the lap is tough and you have to do twice. A really fun run, but not one for your new PB time if that's what you're chasing.
