Event summary

Find your limits in this 6 hour event where you decide how far you run. Your race can be as short as 5k or up to a full marathon so runners of all levels are welcome to join. The route entails a 3.3mile lap of Salcey Forrest and takes you along well kept pathways. Come to see how far you can go!

Your organiser

The majority of our events are challenge events - multi-lap races with a time limit rather than a set distance. This means people can run all different distances on the same day, making for a great atmosphere. Lapped events can get some negative feedback but our laps are around beautiful locations. We avoid out and back laps and coming back to the wonderful aid station (full of your requests) can be a good motivator. Whether it's your A race, you need to do some long training runs, you have a 100-mile ultra in a few weeks or you want to hammer out a quick 10k, our races allow everyone to get involved together. We’re also expanding our mid-week evening 10K series too. Keep an eye out for updates on these as we are continually adding more. Expect the same care and attention and in the same great locations!

Route description
Route description

This is a flat course with minimal elevation changes.

The route is along well-maintained pathways, mainly on crushed stone. Obviously being in the middle of a forest, the narrower ones are covered in tree detritus and can become a bit muddy, especially when wet.

Logistics and schedule

There is an entry limit. Once the event gets down to the last places, we'll endeavour to make people aware through social media and emails.

No entries on the day please.

How to get there

Salcey Forest, Salcey Forest NN7, UK

Get directionsExternalLink

To get to Salcey Forest, use the post code NN7 2HX for Sat Navs. It's 18 minutes from Northampton and 9 minutes from Junction 15 of the M1.

You do have to pay to park (£4 at the time of writing). This money goes to the forest, it is a great space that needs money and this is their main revenue stream. That said, be a hero and car share, save money and the world!

The closest train station is Northampton.

Frequently asked questions
FAQ
Is this event cupless?
Yes. It's obviously good for the environment to reduce plastic use and general waste. You won't break a world record having to stop to fill a bottle of water or carry a hydration pack, but over a marathon distance it would probably add less than a minute to your time. We will have water, isotonic drinks, tea and coffee and real Coca Cola for you, but to be clear, we won't supply disposable cups for drinks. You can buy a foldable cup from us on the day.
