not enough buoys, very difficult to sight. On shore facilities minimal. Nowhere to change, no toilets. No cake and coke as promised. No one seemed very interested in providing ibformation. On the other hand the people prividing safety cover were excellent and attentive. I am 73 years old and fiund 2.5km challengung, but did conolete the course.one fibal point, there was apparently a tide running against swimners in the long outbound leg; it made that leg tough work and was disheartening at times. Maybe we could have been made more aware of this

I did the 2.5k swim. Furthest bouy was green. As someone long sighted I just could not see it. Water was choppy so didn’t help either. Other than that, great event.

Nice event, done it a few times. More atmosphere and facilities at Boscombe, but understand the difficulties of hosting an event there. Need to purchase at least one more pink buoy!

Very relaxed event, nice atmosphere but silly and annoying decision to use a green buoy in a choppy green sea made one stretch of the swim more frustrating than needed to be. Given how many of these events have been run could they not have been all pink/orange? Otherwise an enjoyable morning.

The most important buoy wasn’t visible making the course hard to get around, the refreshments would have been much better to be on the beach to maintain an atmosphere on the beach for incoming swimmers.

The current was really strong so it was a tough swim for me.I didnt like the green buoy, coldnt spot it whilst swimming but the event was well organised, we had clear instruction with a few jokes thrown in and friendly atmosphere,Thank you for the safety support it was awesome, great event.Shame on Bournemouth council not supporting the event after 12 years of the venue being in Boscombe

Positives: beautiful venue, excellent water safety, friendly race director Negatives: felt like a bit of an afterthought following the triathlon (earlier in the morning) with branding and event tents being taken down as we arrived. The course was set into a heavy tide (they could have set the course anti-clockwise which would have meant less time in the 1-2kt stream), the finish wasn’t where we were told in the briefing/nor next to the finish flags which was frankly confusing when you’ve just spent 90mins in the water

First event with salty and I might be tempted to lay more markers along the long legs of the swim. A few times I wasnt sure where I was because of the chop. However, this is minor feedback. Pretty good overall. Maybe a non-wetsuit category next time. or a deal if you enter all of the long swims.

quite a hard swim this year. I'm not the best of sighters but I think would benefit from a few small buoys along the long straights and larger buoys at the corners . Would have helped when it got a bit choppy and sighting became more difficult
