Route information
We will begin at the top of New Walk, by the Belmont Hotel.
At 6.45pm we will have the traditional Santa Parade and then at approximately 6.55pm all the Santa’s will be set off!
You will begin by running down New Walk towards the City centre, past the Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester Mercury building and towards the historic Leicester Cathedral and Richard III visitor centre.
The Santa in the City route then takes you past St Martins House, BBC Radio Leicester and through Jubilee Square.
You will then turn into High Street and run past the retail outlets, eateries and HighCross Shopping Centre, where you will be cheered on by many of the Christmas late night shoppers!
After this you will go complete a loop in the City Centre before finally passing the Leicester City Centre Market, The Foxes Club Shop and then to the finish line just beyond the Haymarket Memorial Clocktower.

How to get there
Event day logistics
- Bring your confirmation email to the Santa in the City check-in desk located by the Haymarket Memorial Clock Tower from 12.00pm - 6.00pm and outside the Belmont Hotel from 5.00pm - 7.00pm.
- At check-in you will be given your Santa Suit and running number. The suits are one size fits all but they are adjustable.
- At around 6.35pm there will be the traditional Santa Parade to the start line, at the top of New Walk
- The race will then begin at 6:55pm

This event is a remarkable sight and spectators are more than welcome to come and enjoy the race!
FAQs
When do I get my Santa Suit?
Santa Suits are all issued on the day of the event, at the Santa in the City registration point. This is open from 12pm on the day of the event and is located in Paternoster Square for London and by the Clocktower in Leicester.
Can I get my Santa Suit before the day of the event?
We don't give the Santa Suits out until the day. If there is a reason why you want your we can look at sending to you, but there will be an additional carriage fee per suit posted, which will need to be paid in advance of posting.
Can I order extra Santa Suits?
Yes, you can they are available at a cost of £11.00 and can be purchased when you register.Are children’
s Santa Suits available?
Unfortunately, we do not supply children’s Santa Suits. Children are welcome to run for free,
they must beat least 8years old to take part and welcome to wear their own festive outfit What time can I check-in on the day?
You can check-in and collect your santa suit from 3pm on the day of the event.
Can I leave a bag at the Santa Check-in desk?
Unfortunately there will NOT be a bag storage area, due to the advice we have received from our partners. Please do not leave any bags unattended as they may be removed and destroyed. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
