Route description
Route description

The iconic course starts by crossing the Millennium Bridge from the north side. The route then takes you around London Bridge and Southwark, passing famous landmarks such as Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and Tower Bridge. You then cross back over the Thames via Southwark Bridge, and do a loop on the North Side which takes in the historic St Paul's Cathedral.

Logistics and schedule

12-7pm: The check-in desk in Paternoster Square will be open on race day. You can register individually or as a group of 2-100 people. When you check in, you will receive your Santa Suit (one-size fits all) and your running number.

6:45pm: Santa Parade from Paternoster Square to the start line on the Northern side of the Millennium Bridge.

7pm: Santa Race Begins

NB: You must be older than 8 years old to enter. Anyone between 8-14 yo will not have to pay for entry but will not receive a santa suit. An adult must accompany them at all times.

Spectators

Seeing hundreds of runners in Santa Suits can be fairly entertaining so feel free to come along and watch. Perhaps give a hero's welcome to a hoard of Father Christmases at the finish line on St Peter's Hill.

How to get there

The nearest tube stops to the start line are Blackfriars and Mansion House.
