Route information
This is a 7-hour timed event where you can choose your distance from 5k to ultra. You can complete as many laps of a 4.37 mile, 7.0k out and back, course along the beautiful River Thames as you wish within the 7-hour limit. Runners of all abilities are welcome and as long as you complete at least one lap will earn a fabulous cake themed medal.
Alternatively, you may carry on running and complete as many laps as you can manage within the time limit.
The course is along the Thames River and a mixture of path and trail. The course is flat and fast with the start and finish area close to the centre of Staines-Upon-Thames.

Aid Station
There will be an aid station including a vegan range at the start line. Therefore you can access the aid station every 4.37 miles.
Toilets and Changing Facilities
Toilets are available at the start/finish area inside the venue. There are also changing facilities available at the club.
Distance Pins
You'll receive a distance pin if you complete either a half marathon, mega half marathon, marathon, 50k or ultra in the 7-hour time limit.
Age Requirements
You will need to be aged 18 or over on event day to participate in the Saturn Great British Bake Run as a UKA affiliated athlete. Under 18s are welcome to take part in the non-UKA start list which will set off 1 minute afterwards.

Absolutely not. The minimum distance you have to complete to receive a medal is 4.37 miles, but everyone is encouraged to run or walk as many laps as you can in the 7 hours.
What is the minimum age for Great British Bake Run 2023?
There will be two events running at the same time. The main event is a UKA Permitted event and is for all runners aged 18 or over. In addition, there is a non-UKA event for runners under the age of 18 (minimum age 12). Runners under the age of 18 will automatically be included in the non-UKA start list and this event will start 1 minute after the main events
Is the Great British Bake Run 2023 only for advanced runners?
Not at all - all abilities welcome. You only need to complete 4.37 miles to receive a medal (and enjoy all the cake).
