Route information
With two alternating laps with one course taking you out towards Sonning from Wokingham Waterside Centre and the second taking runners towards Caversham, there'll be plenty to see along the way apart from just road! Each lap will be 3.28 miles, is fast and flat and there will be an aid station every 3.28 miles to keep you going on your way round and pushing for marathon distances.
This event is open to runners of all abilities and you are welcome to walk around the course if you prefer. It is possible to walk the entire marathon distance within 8 hours.
Though this event is inspired by the London Marathon, you do not have to complete the entire marathon distance if you do not wish to. The minimum distance required to earn a medal and a goody bag is 5k.

Ashford station is the closest train station to the start, sitatued 2.5 miles away. From here, you can ride the 216 bus from Staines, for 8 stops, alighting at South Street (Stop K). The Thames Side Brewery is a short 9-minute walk from here.

There are numerous public Pay & Display car parks in the surrounding Egham Hythe area.

*Please note that though there is a mass start at 07:30 am, you can start at any time of the day, so long as you finish by 5:30 pm.
Aid Station
There will be an aid station at the start line. Therefore you can access the aid station every 3.28 miles. It will be stocked with drinks and snacks to keep you going
Age Requirements
You must be aged 12 or over to compete in the standard entry. You'll need to be 18 or over on event day to be involved in the UKA Affiliated event.
Toilets and Changing Facilities
Toilets are available at the start/finish area inside the venue. There are also changing facilities available at the venue.

Do I have to run the full marathon distance for The Nearly But Not Quite London Marathon?
Not at all. Whilst all runners are encouraged to go as far as they can, you can stop whenever you want. You must complete one 3.28 mile lap in order to collect your medal.
What are the age requirements for The Nearly But Not Quite London Marathon?
Entrants as young as 12 can get involved in this event in the standard entry. You must be 18 or older to qualify for UKA affiliated entry.
Can I walk round the The Nearly But Not Quite London Marathon course?
Of course you can. This event welcomes runners of all abilities and if you feel like waking round the course, that's absolutely fine.
