The 3rd annual Scurry Around Tentsmuir Forest Trail Running Festival has a range of options for runners of all levels. With fully marshalled, off-road courses and a half marathon, 10k, 5k and 1.2k family fun run on offer, this running festival has something for everyone.
Explore the beautiful setting of Tentsmuir Forest in north east Fife, lying between the picturesque town of St Andrews and the vibrant city of Dundee. The forest boasts a mixture of forest trails and stunning sand dunes, and is home to a variety of wildlife - from red squirrels to seals and sea birds.
The half marathon, 10k and 5k routes all follow individual 1-lap courses, beginning at the Larick Centre in Tayport before heading into the forest.

Get full directionsBy Public Transport
The Larick Centre can be reached by bus from both St Andrews and Dundee. From St Andrews, participants can board the 42A or 92 buses which stop at Golf Crescent, just a short walk away from the Centre. The 42A bus also runs from Dundee to Tayport, stopping at Golf Crescent.
By Car
The Larick Centre is a short drive from Dundee via the A92 and B946. From St Andrews, take the A91 to Guardbridge, before heading on to the B945.
There will be limited parking at the Larick Centre, however, there is plenty of parking on the grass just off of Links Road North.

Race Packs
Race packs will not be posted and must be collected at registration.
Age Requirements
- Half Marathon, 10k: Entrants must be 16 years of age or older in order to participate
- 5k: Entrants must be 11 years of age or older in order to participate
- 5k Juniors: Entrants must be 11 - 15 years of age in order to participate
- Family Fun Run: Children under the age of 10 must run with an adult
Rules
- Runners should come prepared for uneven surfaces
- Be courteous to dog walks or other path users
- Use of earphones is strictly prohibited
- Half marathon is not suitable for buggies
- Run buggies are allowed on 10k, 5k, and fun run courses
- You must confirm your safe arrival at the finish desk
First Aid
There will be a first aid team at the start and at the finish of the race.
Toilets
There will be plenty of toilets available at the Larick Centre and there will also be a public toilet halfway around the half marathon route.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the following participants:
- Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k top 3 male/females
- First over-40 male/female
- 1st junior male/female in the 5k
