Did the race in 2019
Great event. Particular shout out to the events staff-incredibly helpful, friendly and smiling.... Even at 2am!!!A good course for a less experienced river swimmer as it's a v straight wide course. The beginning in my wave (2.00-2.30min/100m) was very bunched up for some distance-which took a bit of the edge of enjoyment)-this was by far the most popular category.... Any way to split this group in future would probably help overall experience.
Did the race in 2014
It was a great swim, the furthest I had ever done! Very early start but that's to be expected. If you park at the start don't forget you are going to have to walk all the way back to your car so be prepared for a walk along a tow path!
