The 10k course will take participants out of Shere and toward Dogkennel Green where they will tackle hulls up to the 3.5k mark.
There's then a gradual downhill section around the 5k mark as runners will head back towards Shere, with a quick final kilometre greeting all participants.
The Half Marathon Course takes participants out past Vale Farm and through a quick up-and-down section around the 7-11k mark.
All participants will finish in Shere as the course loops back around after a considerable drop at the 18k mark.
There are plenty of short and sharp dips and twists to keep all participants interested so strap on in for an exciting adventure.
The marathon course consists of a long journey around Shere's finest trails. There's a large incline starting at the 12k mark as participants will climb up Wotton Common.
After this, participants will drift down towards Hurt Wood before a final climb from Chilworth to the finish at teh starting area.
Please note that there is also a canicross option so feel free to bring your furry friend along.

This was my first officially organized Half Marathon and I absolutely loved it. First off, the course itself is a great trail, well marked, and has some amazing views. The organization of it was really well run and they made an incredibly positive, excited atmosphere. The race was big enough to feel like a lot of runners but small enough that you weren't lost in a sea of people. My only complaint was public transit on the way back was limited to the bus that only comes once an hour but I guess thats to be expected for a trail run out in the hills.

I have entered this event the past 4 years and I must say it's one of the best trail courses in the South East. The course was well marked and the course GPX route was downloadable from the Shere Trek website. A succinct race safety briefing then off to explore the best of the Surrey Hills Villages and Woodlands. Some of the best views in the country IMO, sweeping single track, open fields, woodland trails, and even the odd waterfall thrown in! See you next year

Fantastic race around the Surrey Hills, beautiful scenery, slick organisation, friendly and amazing value for money, my favourite off road event in the South of England. Great work Trek Hire Shere. x

This was a really really frustrating "race". For 45 it left a lot to be desired. It could have been so much more. And having to buy a map of the course on top was a rather cheeky. Expensive for what you get. The course could have been amazing and it did take in some lovely places, however it was really really poorly marked in places, and there were no marshalls other than on the 6 aid stations. ( It was very very hot and these should have been increased in the conditions). There needed to be marshalls on the road crossings to increase safety. Plus marshalls at confusing points along the course. There were lots of people who got lost a number of times, due to poor marking. It isn't sufficient that the course markers know it, they need to consider people who come aren't local. There needed to be arrows on the ground pointing the runners the right was, not just dots of chalk after a junction and wrong way markings need placing to stop runners going wrong. Runners go quickly and don't want to stop. A bespoke medal with the T-shirt would make this more value
