The Shere 42k, Half & 10k routes
The Shere Run offers 3 different distances: a 10km run, a half marathon, and a 42km run. There is also the option to compete in the 42km event as part of a team of 3.
Each course will be clearly distance marked and course marshalled during the race. Offering some of the most scenic trail runs available in the South-East of England, this is a truly fantastic event whether you are new to running or a seasoned pro.

Did the 42k in 2018
I have entered this event the past 4 years and I must say it's one of the best trail courses in the South East. The course was well marked and the course GPX route was downloadable from the Shere Trek website. A succinct race safety briefing then off to explore the best of the Surrey Hills Villages and Woodlands. Some of the best views in the country IMO, sweeping single track, open fields, woodland trails, and even the odd waterfall thrown in! See you next yearDid the 42k in 2018
Fantastic race around the Surrey Hills, beautiful scenery, slick organisation, friendly and amazing value for money, my favourite off road event in the South of England. Great work Trek Hire Shere. xDid the 42k in 2018
This was a really really frustrating "race". For 45 it left a lot to be desired. It could have been so much more. And having to buy a map of the course on top was a rather cheeky. Expensive for what you get. The course could have been amazing and it did take in some lovely places, however it was really really poorly marked in places, and there were no marshalls other than on the 6 aid stations. ( It was very very hot and these should have been increased in the conditions). There needed to be marshalls on the road crossings to increase safety. Plus marshalls at confusing points along the course. There were lots of people who got lost a number of times, due to poor marking. It isn't sufficient that the course markers know it, they need to consider people who come aren't local. There needed to be arrows on the ground pointing the runners the right was, not just dots of chalk after a junction and wrong way markings need placing to stop runners going wrong. Runners go quickly and don't want to stop. A bespoke medal with the T-shirt would make this more value
