When choosing a start time, everyone must take into account the opening/closing times of the checkpoints. Anyone arriving outside those times will have to wait (if early) or will be retired from the event (if late).
Registration
You will need to provide your LDWA membership number during the entry process
Food and Drink
The entry fee includes drinks throughout, biscuits at the start, snacks at all checkpoints & a light meal at the finish. The organiser will cater for vegetarians as well as meat-eaters, and there may be some vegan food available, but it cannot be guaranteed.
Refreshments provided may be prepared & served under uncontrolled conditions. Obviously, all practical efforts will be taken to maintain food safety.
Retirement
You MUST inform a walking official. Return transport will only be provided from a checkpoint.
Awards
A certificate will be awarded to all who finish, plus a free badge on request. The organiser also gives certificates & badges to all who complete the BBN triple challenge: Shillington Shuffle, Sundon Saunter and Steppingley Step, in any order, any route.
Beds, Bucks and Northants LDWA
The Beds, Bucks and Northants (BBN) group is one of about 40 groups around the country affiliated to the Long Distance Walkers Association. We are a friendly bunch who enjoy the social side of the club as well as the walking. You will be made very welcome on any BBN walks.
