Did the race in 2022
The event was advertised as for beginners and although there were some less experienced competitors, there were many who were not. There was such a range between the best and the worst that on a one kilometre track made it a very poor experience. There was a poor system for transition, making accidents very likely. The most annoying thing about the race was faster competitors cutting corners, going off track and even completely ignoring the shape of the track to get round/past slower competitors. Cyclists didn't count their laps properly and some I believe didn't actually complete the full 12 laps required.
