From Birmingham New Street, you can get either Transport for Wales or West Midlands Trains services to Shrewsbury. From Shrewsbury station, it is a 14 minute walk to race HQ.

I really enjoyed doing something a little different for NYE! There was no pre-race brief or music to boost the atmosphere which would have been great, but overall the organisation was good. I hope to return next year, hopefully along with many others.

For the second year the distances were well out. Ie 5km was 4.83km. So no point having accurate timing! Shambolic organiser. Who nearly caused harm when trying to put up the start barrier in the wind. Then he announced it was midnight 5 minutes early. Then he tried to sing sweet Caroline on his own 😫 Cringe worthy. Finish area was full of people instead of being kept clear. I could go on.

I didn’t receive joking instructions or race pick through the post as expected. I received an email apologising for the postal strike so I paid for myself and my partner to race and wasted £30. I wouldn’t book through this company again. Absolutely disgusted

Second time doing this as still as disorganised as last year. Again, the distance has not been measured properly with it being short by at least 160m over 5km. It’s not difficult to measure these days with the technology available.

Really great experience, there was a nice atmosphere of people, I would definitely consider doing it again.

No finisher medal - apparently it will be posted. Said on the website that if you signed up late it would be posted. I signed up early but finished the race towards the back so didn’t get a medal. Photos should of been uploaded by midday on 1st of Jan but no official photos up way after this time.

It was good fun, most people there to do something different on New Year’s Eve. We were in fancy dress which made a few people laugh
